For professional race car driver Stephen Greer, having the right sprint car workshop was just as important as having the right car. He needed a space to fine-tune, maintain, and prep his vehicles without stressing about space, bad weather, or tough access. Since his property sloped toward the shed site, we had to manage water carefully to keep the area dry and usable. But the job wasn’t just about the shed. Stephen also wanted extra space in front for parking and easy maneuvering. So, we widened and extended the driveway using matching exposed concrete to create a smooth, seamless finish. In the end, this project wasn’t just about building a shed. It was about delivering a proper motorsport workshop that matched the same high standards as the sprint cars inside.

General Flashings
Stephen needed a sprint car workshop where he could fine-tune, maintain, and store his race cars without any hassle. The shed had to be secure, weatherproof, and designed specifically for motorsport. It also needed enough space for tools, gear, and a proper workspace. On top of that, the sloping site made things tricky. We had to manage water flow carefully to keep the area dry and usable all year. To make access easy, we also widened and extended the driveway. This allowed Stephen to move vehicles in and out without any issues. In the end, every detail came together to create a high-performance workshop that worked exactly how he needed it to.

Debret managed every stage of the project to make sure Stephen’s sprint car workshop was built without delays or stress. Unlike other builders who rely on subcontractors, Debret’s team handled everything in-house. This included earthworks, construction, and all the finishing touches. As a result, the project stayed on track and every detail met a high standard. Preparing the site was a big part of the job. The team excavated and levelled the land, then installed a reinforced retaining wall to hold back the cut earth. This created a solid foundation for the shed. After that, they poured a custom concrete slab that added long-term durability and a clean, high-end finish inside. To protect the space from weather issues, the team also added smart drainage solutions. This stopped water from pooling and kept the workshop dry and ready to use all year round.
The sprint car workshop shed was built for function, ease of use, and a smooth fit with the property. A PA door at the back made it easy to walk in from the house without opening the main roller door. Inside, windows and a mezzanine added natural light and extra storage. This kept the space bright and organised. At the front, a large roller door made vehicle access simple and secure. Stephen now has plenty of room to work on his sprint cars without feeling cramped. On the side, the garaport bay was enclosed on three sides. This created a semi-private workspace that stays protected from wind and rain.
