A Commercial Shed Designed for Heavy-Duty Maintenance & Storage

A purpose-built commercial shed was essential for Holy Cross Laundry in Banyo to keep operations running smoothly. With industrial machines processing thousands of kilograms of linen daily, their maintenance team needed a properly designed space to support their work. For years, they operated out of a cramped, makeshift space, struggling with inadequate storage and tight working conditions. To maintain efficiency, they required a large, durable shed designed for heavy-duty maintenance, tool storage, and easy equipment access. Debret stepped in to deliver a full-service solution, managing everything from design and approvals to engineering and final construction.

The maintenance team at Holy Cross Laundry had outgrown their old workspace. They needed a purpose-built commercial shed that provided ample storage, proper tool organization, and enough room for large equipment repairs. The existing setup was slowing them down, making routine maintenance harder than it needed to be. Debret designed a spacious, well-ventilated structure that allowed the team to work efficiently, store tools properly, and move equipment in and out with ease.

A Large-Scale Build with Precision Engineering

Building a shed of this scale takes solid planning and hands-on experience. Debret designed the custom concrete slab to handle the weight and movement of a fully operational maintenance facility, avoiding long-term settling or cracking. Their team built a strong, stable foundation before moving straight into construction. They assembled the high-strength steel structure with precision, making sure it stayed tough and reliable. The 6-metre eave height gave the team plenty of space for overhead storage, and the large roller doors made access easy for equipment and maintenance crews. Debret managed every stage of the build to deliver a shed built for decades of heavy use.
