An epoxy floor workshop shed was the missing piece on Biju’s new acreage in Forestdale. His house was still under construction, but he needed a strong, secure shed ready before the removal truck pulled in. With trades everywhere and a sloping site full of reactive clay, Debret took it from bare ground to locked-up in no time. The 9×18 m shed gave him serious space for gear, tools, and weekend projects. Finished with a non-slip epoxy floor, it was clean, coated, and ready ahead of deadline.

General Flashings
An epoxy floor workshop shed was exactly what Biju needed but the block wasn’t making it easy. The site had a 600 mm fall and reactive clay that needed some serious soil work before anything else could happen. Concrete trucks, steel deliveries, and earthworks had to weave around an active house build. But deadlines don’t wait. Biju wanted the shed up, lined, and clean before move-in week. Debret took care of it all, no stress, no delays.
Built on tricky ground
without hold-ups
Project stayed on track
despite weather challenges
Designed to suit storage,
projects, and future upgrades
Everything about this epoxy floor workshop shed was built to last, even with the weather trying to throw it off track. Brisbane copped a cyclone during the build, bringing heavy rain that could’ve caused major delays. But Debret stayed on top of the schedule, planning pours and prep work around the worst of the weather to keep things moving. The Debret crew cut and filled over 80 cubic metres of soil, compacted it tight, and poured a single 100 mm slab tied into strip footings for extra edge strength. With steel pre-punched in the yard, the frame went up in just three days. Then, a thick, charcoal epoxy coat with a cookies-and-cream pattern gave the shed a clean, high-end finish, which was also added to the matching watertank slab for a sharp, unified look.
The epoxy floor workshop shed was tailored for how Biju works. A huge 5.3 m roller door at the front lets him drive straight in with his ute or mower. Two extra bays on the side add more parking space and give easy access to his gear. Twin windows bring in natural light, and a Solar Ark vent pulls hot air up and out (no need to work in a sweatbox!) To the side, Debret poured a matching slab for Biju’s future watertank or pump gear keeping things clean, level, and ready for whatever comes next. The full roof insulation keeps things cool and cuts down on echo, making it perfect for weekend projects or working late.

Even though this epoxy floor workshop shed was built fast, it doesn’t look like an afterthought. The COLORBOND® Deep Ocean walls pick up the home’s accent colour, while the Monument roof disappears into the tree line. It’s a sharp-looking shed that feels intentional, not tacked on. It gives Biju usable space now, while also adding long-term value to the block. Built to blend in, but made to work hard.
