Debret built this Garaport Shed with Roller Doors for a Forest Lake homeowner needing secure storage and style. The shed spans 4 metres wide, runs 12 metres long, and stands 3 metres tall at the eaves. It has plenty of space for tools, gear, and garden equipment, keeping everything tidy and protected. Debret added insulation, whirlybirds, roller doors at both ends, and a window for light and airflow. They also handled the slab and site prep, making sure the shed fits right in with the home.

General Flashings
This shed is full of features that make it more useful day to day. A rear roller door means no reversing or awkward shuffling. A side window brings in natural light, while a PA door allows easy entry without opening the roller. A whirly bird and insulation keep things comfortable inside, especially on hot summer days. The kit was supplied by Debret and built to last with quality materials from the ground up.

the backyard layout
Before building could start, we needed to level the site. That meant installing a concrete sleeper retaining wall along the boundary to create a flat, usable space. Once that was done, we poured a reinforced concrete slab that’s tough enough to handle anything stored inside. Debret added a driveway extension to make it easier to drive straight into the new Garaport. It also gave the front of the property a clean, finished look that made the whole shed feel like it had always been part of the home. Debret handled this complete site solution in-house, which helped keep the project moving smoothly and on budget. Each element, from the steel frame to the finishing touches, was handled with care.
This shed had to offer plenty of storage while still being strong, secure, and easy to get into. With limited room to work with, the layout needed to be practical and well planned. It also had to fit the space just right, without cutting into the yard or causing water issues later on. Stormwater drainage was another important part of the job, so the team added surface pits and a stormwater connection to make sure runoff flows away from the shed and neighbouring properties.

Retaining wall installation to create a level, well-supported site
Stormwater drainage system designed to protect both the property and neighbours
Some sheds stick out, but this one blends right in. The COLORBOND® Evening Haze cladding works perfectly with the home’s exterior, and the Monument® flashings and roller doors tie in with the existing fence and garage. To finish things off, we poured a wraparound concrete path and added fence brackets for extra security. As a result, the Garaport blends effortlessly with the property, making it feel like a natural extension.
